2014

The Currimundi Lake interpretive sign planned in 2013 has now been completed and installed on the beachside of the toilet block in the park and looks great!  The groups that had input were invited by Cr Peter Cox to the official ribbon cutting ceremony.

Due to the ever-increasing number of visitors to the lake a formal request was placed by FOCL to the Council to install a shower at the steps next to the picnic shelter in Cliff Hargreaves Park.  This alleviates the pressure on the dunal area beside the other two showers located at the Watson Street car park end of the lake.

The pathway, along with bollards, in Hargreaves Street has been completed and new garden areas are to be established in due course.  The pathway in Cliff Hargreaves Park has been widened near the bridge for safety.

An ongoing project of tree planting in Cliff Hargreaves Park was vandalised in early May, possibly for a view to the lake.  Council is investigating the matter and have decided a screen will be erected.  FOCL will partner with Council to once again replant this area.
